Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.

BB Gymnastics
1) 5X2 1 Hang Power Clean + 1 Push Press + 1 Front Squat + 1 Push
   Jerk @ 65% (of 1RM Clean & Jerk) – rest 75 sec.
Did this at 115#. The last few sets of the push press/jerk felt
   hard.

Strength
1) 12 Minutes to establish a 1RM High-Bar Back Squat.
Tried for 265 but failed twice. Managed to get 255#

2) 3 X ME Strict HSPU – rest 2 minutes.
   forgot to do this

Conditioning
3 rounds for time of:
100 Double-Unders
20 Pistols (10l/10r – apportion in any way)
10 Push Jerks 155/105#

Did the push jerks at 115# at the end of the 2nd round I was at about 12 minutes but the clock was reset by someone.

Didn't feel anything in the knee during the back squat but felt it during the pistols. I think the knee was aggravated during the snatches yesterday when my form was bad. One scenario is if my knee caved in instead of being pushed out.

Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something.

Evening WOD

BB Gymnastics
1) 5X2 Clean (full squat) & Jerk (split) @ 75-85% – rest 90 sec.
changed 1RM of CNJ to 160 so 75%-85%(120#-135#)
   120 13- 135 135 135

2a) 4X3 Clean Pulls – heavy, rest 60 sec.
2b) 4X2 1&1/4 Front Squats – heavy, rest 60 sec.
    165/155
    165/155
    165/160
    175/165
noticed that all the pulls drills online use a weight that is
way heavier than 1RM. Will have to try 120% of 1RM next time.

Conditioning
For time:
100 UB Double-Unders
30 Burpees
15 GHD Situps
75 UB Double-Unders
30 Burpees
15 GHD Situps
50 UB Double-Unders
30 Burpees
15 GHD Situps
12:58. Tried 4 times to get UB DU but didn't get them all. On the  5th try, I just counted up to the required rep.

Strength
1a) 3X10 Weighted GH Raise – heavy, rest 45 sec.
1b) 3X15 Reverse Hypers – medium, rest 45 sec.

GH raise, did 3 sets but didn't get to 10 reps. Did this without weight and my hamstrings were cramping up.

The vision that you glorify in your mind, the ideal that you enthrone in your heart, this you will build your life by, and this you will become.

Evening WOD

BB Gymnastics
5X3 Clean (full squat) & Jerk @ 70-80% – rest 90 sec.
started with 110 and went to 125

295# is my 1RM. Went to 275# and failed. Then to 245# and failed again. Bagged the 1RM after that.

The first step in the acquisition of wisdom is silence, the second listening, the third memory, the fourth practice, the fifth teaching others.

Went to the Crosstown Throwdown to support all my friends. They all kicked ass and it was good to see all the other Crossfitters coming together to compete.

Morning WOD

Wendler Back Squat C1W3

WU 2x10 @135# back squat
BS 5x200# 3x225# 1x250#
AW 3x10 @135# front squat

Felt good. At 250#, it felt sufficiently hard that I had to push. Need to try to warmup with box jumps next. Read that doing top to top box jumps will help the body incorporate all the posterior chain muscles better at the bottom of the squat.

Losers make promises they often break. Winners make commitments they always keep.

3 workouts today. Felt much better than the last few days but there seems to be some residual cold left. Anyways, it won't stop me.

Did a morning WOD at the gym of:

7 rounds for time of:
7 Front squat 145
7 Chest-to-bar pull-ups

Scaled the front squat down to 145 since I had to clean it. 10:43

Did a track workout with the sled of:

6x100m alternating with a 45lb and 25lb plate. 25 air squats at the end of each run.

At night, I decided to do the Crosstown Throwdown. Sun convinced me to try to get something in and I'm glad he did. When I tried it this morning I didn't feel good but at 8pm on a Saturday night I seemed to have my game face on. And having friends cheer you on helped.

7 Rounds for Time:
5 Right Arm Kettlebell Power Snatch (53/35)
5 Left Arm Kettlebell Power Snatch (53/35)
15 Hand Release Push Ups
25 Double Unders

10:26
